Family is more important than your work. Tips on maintaining perfect balance in your life and work
Why our world has become so busy?
We often hear people complaining about how hectic their work gets. Hectic work simply ruins the balance between the life and work. I don’t recall my father complaining anything about his job or creating a balance in his work or life but the life today we have is all about working extra hours and dealing with stress related situations mainly in our jobs.
I also often hear people complaining that they don’t have time to do the work they love. Today we are living in a world where finding perfect balance between life and work is a chaos.
I simply blame the innovation in technology which have bought us to this situation however, I’m not against the innovation we have made in the field technology. In today’s era we are able to do things which are unthinkable to the people before us, all thanks to the technology.
With the help of small gadgets in our hands, we can practically access the entire information of this universe <strong>but like the SPIDERMAN once said, with great power comes the great responsibility, </strong>it’s not mainly the technology which is disturbing the balance in our life and work, it’s the use which is causing these problems.
So here I have jotting down the list of three important changes that you can make in your daily routine to maintain a perfect balance in your work and life.
<h3 style=”color: #d13030;”>Identifying and eliminating time wasting activities</h3>
In the last decade we have noticed a humongous boom in social media platforms, with more and more social media platforms launching every year, it’s hard to say ‘NO’ to these social media channels as each one of them have their own uniqueness and attraction.
Think of these today;
- Do you always feel the urge to check and respond to your Facebook feed?
- Do you check and reply frequently to your social media notifications?
- Do you respond to your emails quickly even after office hours?
What will happen if you will not respond to your social media notifications and emails every hours? The world will still remain the same and no one will even notice that you’ve responded late to your emails or social media notifications.
Schedule your time wisely and make a habit to not respond to your online activities after 10PM or may be 9PM. This will free you from a lot of stress and people will starting to know that you are not going to respond them about that particular hour.
<h3 style=”color: #d13030;”>Find constructive company </h3>
We normally spend 8-10 hours a day among co-workers or colleagues, next time you meet your co-workers or colleagues a minutes break and assess what they are talking about, their views for different people and their approval to different matters.
Because after spending 8-10 hours with these people on daily basis, your unconscious mind will capture their emotions and behaviors and you will react with similar emotions or behaviors toward different matters in your life.
If you are noticing any negative vibes from these people, you are better off them.
<h3 style=”color: #d13030;”>Stop pushing yourself to the extra mile</h3>
“Tomorrow is Sunday, I will wake up early in the morning and will finish this work”
Have this kind of thought ever came into your mind? It require a lot of efforts to overcome these type of thoughts, pushing yourself hard over unrealistic goals will only make your life miserable. It’s better to set priorities and schedule your work, there are several free and premium tools and apps available to schedule and organize your work.
Let’s take an example of the work quote, let’s suppose you wake up early in the morning and finished the work but it will affect your other tasks for the day. Now by waking up early you will feel sleepy in the evening and most probably will end up leaving other tasks or commitments of your day.
And you don’t wake up with early you as you planned in your mind, you will be demotivated and have stress all day long for completely the task therefore, it is always easy to set priorities and schedule your day.
Hope you will make these changes in your daily routine and will have success in finding the perfect balance in your work and life.
